Developmental monitoring is a highly-recommended best practice to establish regular observations to note specific ways in which a child plays, learns, speaks, acts, and moves every day, in an ongoing way. There are many ways to track a child’s development as they learn and grow.
Using a milestone checklist is a great way to quickly track a child’s development across many different domains. Also, there are lots of different people who can participate in developmental monitoring including parents, grandparents, early childhood providers, pediatricians, and other caregivers, too!
